Safety Manager

Job Type: Direct Hire
Schedule: 8:00am-6:00pm
Location: San Antonio, TX
Salary: $75,000 – $80,000 per year

Position Summary

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Safety Manager to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs across multiple facilities. This position will play a key role in building a strong safety culture, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement throughout operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage company-wide HSE programs in compliance with OSHA, DOT, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and client safety standards.
• Create and implement standardized safety procedures across multiple operational sites.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to ensure compliance and reduce workplace risks.
• Track and analyze safety metrics including TRIR, DART, near misses, corrective actions, and audit results.
• Lead incident investigations and perform root cause analysis to support long-term corrective actions.
• Provide safety training for employees across warehouse, transportation, maintenance, and administrative departments.
• Maintain organized safety records, certifications, and compliance documentation.
• Stay informed on changing safety and environmental regulations and update policies as needed.
• Lead Safety Committees and encourage employee involvement in workplace safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory agencies during inspections and certification processes.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly safety performance reports for leadership teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of management experience in Safety, EHS, or Compliance.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of OSHA, DOT, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 standards.
• Proven ability to conduct audits, investigations, and safety training programs.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations.
