Senior Project Engineer – Aerospace Manufacturing About US We're partnering with an established aerospace manufacturer seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the development of innovative mechanical products from concept through production. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with customers, engineering teams, and manufacturing operations to bring complex aerospace hardware solutions to life. What You'll Do Lead new product development projects from concept, design, prototyping, testing, and qualification through production release Develop 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation for mechanical products and assemblies Collaborate with customers to define requirements, evaluate design concepts, and provide technical solutions Manage project schedules, priorities, budgets, and cross-functional activities to ensure successful execution Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and external suppliers to support product development efforts Design and evaluate prototypes, conduct testing activities, and document results Support product qualification efforts, engineering reviews, and continuous product improvements Provide technical leadership and mentorship to less experienced engineers What You Bring Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline 8+ years of experience developing mechanical products within a regulated manufacturing environment Strong background in product design, engineering project management, and new product introduction Proficiency with 3D CAD software and product data management systems Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing processes Experience interacting directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams Aerospace, defense, or highly engineered industrial product experience strongly preferred Why This Role This is an opportunity to take ownership of highly visible development programs while working alongside a collaborative engineering and manufacturing team.
