Schedule: PRN

Shift: Days (Variable as needed)

Attends department meetings and engages in positive dialogue to support department objectives.

Obtains high-quality scans by following proper exam protocols and adapting procedures to each patient's medical situation.

Other duties as assigned.

Confirms patient and exam accuracy using two patient identifiers before administering exams.

Performs, documents, and reports all procedures in accordance with departmental policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Abdomen, Abdominal Doppler, OB/Gyn, Small Parts, Vascular, and Interventional Sonographic procedures [Required]
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to the computer and AGFA Pacs system [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds [Required]
• Ability to function independently with little or no supervision [Required]
• Ability to read and write legibly in English and perform basic mathematics skills [Required]
• Ability to communicate effectively [Required]
• Ability to perform venous ultrasound Doppler [Required]
• Ability for independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative [Required]
• Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment [Preferred]
• Good organizational skills [Preferred]
• Breast Sonography knowledge [Preferred]
• Pediatric and Neuro Sonography knowledge [Preferred]
• Basic EKG knowledge [Required]
• Computer proficiency in Word, Outlook [Required]

Education: Associate [Preferred]

Field of Study: N/A

Work Experience: 2+ years experience in vascular sonography [Preferred]

Additional Information: American Registry of Radiologic Technologies RT (BS) Preferred

Licenses and Certifications: Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) [Required] OR Registered Technologist Vascular Sonography (R.T.(VS)(ARRT)) [Required] OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) [Required] Basic Life Support CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]

Pay Range: $28.68 $53.35
