Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time contract opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in telespeech and teletherapy services within an educational setting. The role is based in Kenner, LA, serving students in the Jefferson Parish school district, with assignments in the New Orleans area.

The position runs from August 7, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering a 35-hour workweek structured as seven-hour days plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The specific caseload and age groups served will be determined based on district needs, with assignments possibly spanning multiple schools.

Key qualifications include:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • ACTIVE state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) is required
  • Ability to complete district-specific HR credentialing forms in a timely manner

Primary responsibilities encompass delivering teletherapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based speech-language pathology practices tailored to individual student needs. Collaboration with educators and caregivers to support student progress is essential.

Miscellaneous:

  • Employment offers are contingent upon the renewal of the school board contract at the June 3, 2026 meeting. This contingency will be explicitly stated in the candidate’s contract.
