Consumer Finance Associate

Overview A law firm seeks a Consumer Finance Associate with 3-4 years of relevant experience to join its Financial Regulatory practice in Palo Alto, CA. The candidate will counsel various financial entities on federal and state financial laws and regulations. Duties Counsel banks, credit unions, and FinTechs on financial laws. Advise on compliance with federal and state financial regulations. Conduct financial regulatory and state licensing analyses. Draft and negotiate contracts and lending documents. Assist with regulatory enforcement investigations and actions. Requirements 3-4 years of relevant experience in financial regulatory practice. Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to client service and effective teamwork. Strong academic credentials required. Education JD from an ABA-accredited law school. Licensure and Certifications Active member in good standing of the Bar where admitted. Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located. Skills Experience with financial regulatory and state licensing analyses.
