Regional Program Administrator Prelicensure ADN Position Goal: To provide engaged leadership with the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement of the educational program in accordance with the laws and rules of all applicable state and federal regulatory and accrediting bodies in response to identified industry and community needs. Responsible for the oversight and coordination of specified programs and activities that support student education and retention for said programs. Provides the leadership necessary to fulfill the mission, objectives, plans and goals of the College. Under the supervision of the Regional Program Administrator is the academic leader responsible for leading, supervising, and mentoring program directors and deans to ensure proper execution of the day-to-day program operations. Position Responsibilities 1. Program Administrator Designated as nursing program administrator role for regulatory agencies, state boards of nursing, and programmatic accreditors. 2. Outcomes Leads assigned campus’ prelicensure ADN program academic leaders to ensure the delivery of quality educational experiences to meet all College performance metrics related to academic outcomes, including but not limited to NCLEX-RN pass rates, student retention, student completion, graduate employment rates, student satisfaction, faculty outcomes, and fiscal goals. Provides oversight to ensure that faculty members are effectively implementing the college common curriculum and common assessment processes. Provides oversight to ensure programs achieve explicit goals identified in the College’s strategic plan and annual budget. Facilitates program directors, deans, and faculty in the development and implementation of program, curriculum, and systematic plan of evaluation. Ensures that aggregated and trended evaluation findings are used to inform decision making for the maintenance and improvement of the student learning outcomes and program outcomes; shares these findings with communities of interest. Assumes responsibility for the oversight of programmatic accreditation; is vested with the administrative authority to accomplish the program’s mission, goals, and expected program outcomes; and provides effective supervision and leadership for the academic nursing unit to achieve its mission, goals, and expected program outcomes. 3. Faculty (Employee Experience) Leads campus program directors, associate program directors to ensure sufficient numbers of quality faculty are recruited, onboarded, evaluated, and retained to provide a world-class educational experience to students. Ensures that faculty are academically prepared for the areas in which they teach, maintain expertise in their areas of responsibility, and that their performance reflects scholarship and evidence-based teaching and clinical practices. Ensures the systematic assessment of faculty (full- and part-time) performance; develops a plan with the program directors/ associate program directors when areas for improvement are identified. Collaborates with campus academic leadership to support timely faculty work assignment determination, compensation, and evaluation and development of faculty. 4. Students (Student Experience) Oversee the admission, academic progression, and graduation of students. Participates in the development of policies for nursing students, ensuring that they are congruent with the College, publicly accessible, and non-discriminatory. Ensures the implementation of policies and procedures that allow program complaints and grievances to receive due process and include evidence of resolution; implements strategies for continuous improvement based on the evaluation of complaints and grievances. Responsible for submission of the Certified List of Graduates upon student completion of all requirements for a degree, diploma, or certificate, regardless of the state in which the graduate intends to seek licensure. 5. Curriculum (Growth and Innovation) Ensures that practice learning environments support the achievement of student learning outcomes and program outcomes. Provides oversight to ensure the delivery of quality customer service to healthcare development program partners and verifies compliance with policies and procedures, ethical practices, and the guidelines of government and accrediting organizations. 6. Governance (Impact and Relationships) To facilitate the development of long-range goals and objectives for the nursing program. Participates in the preparation of program budget through recommendations and input. Administers program budget consistent with established policies of the College. Participates in governance activities; facilitates faculty and student representatives in their participation in governance activities. Facilitates the implementation of recommendations made by communities of interest regarding program processes and decision making. Maintains authority and shared responsibility with the dean or designee for the development and administration of the nursing program. Creates and submits reports and documentation to appropriate regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and state boards of nursing. Coordinate, oversee, and foster the development of program directors throughout the College by facilitating College-wide meetings and fostering collaboration among program directors. 7. Position Evaluation Maintain accurate and current accreditation documents; ensures the Systematic Plans of Evaluation (SPEs) are used to determine program effectiveness. Ensure that program outcomes (NCLEX-RN pass rates, completion rates, employment rates, aggregate faculty outcomes, student outcomes meet or surpass the regulatory and accreditation requirements. Coordinate, oversee, and foster the development of program directors throughout the college by facilitating College-wide meetings and fostering collaboration among program directors. Ensures that data regarding completion, licensure, certification and employment rates are used, as appropriate, to foster ongoing program improvement. Ensures that aggregate faculty data are analyzed and used, as appropriate, to foster ongoing faculty development. Ensure that faculty are sufficient in number to accomplish the mission, goals, and expected program outcomes and are academically and experientially prepared for the areas in which they teach. Position Requirements Education: Graduate degree in Nursing and a Doctoral Degree in nursing or related field, from an accredited institution, required. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of progressive leadership experience in campus operations and/or nursing education programs. Excellent written and verbal communication, project management, and highly effective presentation skills. A strong working knowledge about nursing education, higher education policy, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards required. Ability to effectively and persuasively present strategic initiatives to industry leaders and senior management. Licensure & Special Qualifications (where applicable): Per State Board of Nursing Requirements. Physical Requirements: Physical/Mental Demands and Work Environment: Position requires mental activity, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating, and decision making. Physical demands in the classroom and office are minimal and considered sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying such articles as records, files, and books (10 pounds maximum). Operation of standard office equipment such as phone, computer, classroom projector, Scantron, and printer/scanner, occurs on a frequent basis. Degree of Supervision: Minimal.
