Job Description Job Description VALENTINO’SÒ JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Manager Date: August 2026 . JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the total orchestration of restaurant operations on a shift-by-shift basis. May also have responsibility focus on systematizing an area of restaurant as a special project. This involves everything from initial paperwork through execution of events. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -Supervises personnel to ensure cleanliness of equipment and restaurant in general. -Tastes, smells, and observes food to ensure conformance with recipes and appearance standards. -Supervises personnel engaged in inventories, storage, and usage of foodstuffs and supplies. -Supervises personnel engaged in all areas of customer service whether it be dine-in, carry-out, delivery, or catering. -Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints. -May be involved with hiring and assignment of personnel. -Oversees in-store training program for line personnel. -May terminate employment of line personnel. -May review financial transactions, profit and loss statement, and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation, and to ensure expenditures stay within budgeted limitations. -Required to execute and follow through on safety programs. -Required to expedite medical attention for injured employees, and correctly complete and expedite Accident Report Forms. -May actively participate in store level Village Marketing plan. -May participate in the employee evaluation process. -Must arrive to work on time -Must work scheduled shifts ACCOUNTABILITIES: -Will be held accountable for cash reconciliation on their shift. -Responsible for equipment maintenance and building upkeep. -Must ensure customer satisfaction in regard to food quality, service, and cleanliness of restaurant. -Must report to and act as an extension of the General Manager of the unit. -Must handle employee matters with professional finesse, and according to company policy and state and federal laws. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS: -Required to have operational skills that enable them to perform every employee task in the unit. -Must have the stamina to spend 10-12 hrs. per day, 5+ days weekly, on their feet, and at a brisk walking pace. Ability to stand upright is required. -Must be able to handle cash and cash reconciliation accurately. -Must be able to handle customer complaints, using sound judgment, in a polite and professional manner, while utilizing company policy guidelines to do so. -Hazards include, but are not limited to, slips, falls, burns, and cuts. -Interacts verbally with guests and co-workers. \nCompany Description In 1957, Val and Zena Weiler operated the Campus Fruit Market in Lincoln, Nebraska. In its place, armed with three dozen pizza pans, a recipe that had been in Mrs. Weiler’s family for years, and a generous amount of trepidation, they decided to open a pizza business. Valentino’s success is a reflection of its owners and employees and their commitment to excellence. Valentino’s approach is a lot like our way of life here in Nebraska.
