Job Title: Quality Inspector Job Description

The Quality Inspector plays a key role at the end of the assembly line, working closely with machine operators to ensure that all products meet established quality standards. This position focuses on visual inspection, accurate packaging, and palletizing of finished goods, as well as coordinating with shipping personnel to move products efficiently through the facility.

• Perform detailed visual inspections of products at the end of the assembly line to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Package finished products, including taping and labeling, in accordance with established procedures.
• Palletize products safely and efficiently, preparing them for transfer to the shipping department.
• Partner with machine operators throughout the shift to monitor product output and address quality concerns in real time.
• Collaborate with shippers to ensure timely and accurate movement of finished goods.
• Work primarily in a seated position while performing repetitive inspection and packaging tasks.
• Move between different assembly and operating lines as needed to support production demands.
• Maintain a consistent work pace and attention to detail during repetitive tasks.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment by communicating clearly and professionally with coworkers.

• Comfort working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive, seated work for the majority of the shift.
• Strong attention to detail for visual inspection of products.
• Reliable work history and consistent job tenure.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Ability to follow established procedures for packaging, taping, and palletizing.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM) or 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM).

• Previous packing experience in a production or warehouse environment.
• Prior manufacturing experience on a production floor.
• Warehouse experience, including handling pallets and finished goods.
• General labor, assembly, or production background.
• Quality control or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing setting.

The role is based on a large, well-lit, climate-controlled manufacturing floor designed for comfort and safety during all shifts. The position involves working on 2nd or 3rd shift, primarily in a seated role performing repetitive inspection and packaging tasks at the end of assembly lines. Steel-toe footwear is required as part of the safety dress code, and employees regularly interact with machine operators and shippers in a busy but organized production environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicopee, MA.

The pay range for this position is $22.24 - $22.74/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
