Senior .NET AppDev Consultant [Remote]

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior .NET AppDev Consultant based in United States.

As a Senior .NET Application Development Consultant, you will partner directly with clients to transform complex business challenges into production-ready software solutions.
You will own technical work across the full lifecycle, from discovery and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
The role combines hands-on full-stack engineering with technical consulting, requiring strong expertise in .NET, C#, Angular, APIs, and modern cloud practices.
You will work within diverse codebases and technology environments, making thoughtful decisions that balance technical quality, maintainability, and business value.
Collaboration is central to the role, with opportunities to pair with engineers, lead technical discussions, and strengthen client engineering practices.
You will also help clients adopt modern approaches to testing, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and safe production delivery.

Accountabilities

• Partner directly with client teams to understand business challenges, clarify requirements, evaluate technical options, and translate needs into practical software solutions.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support production-quality applications using .NET, C#, Angular, and modern full-stack development practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions spanning application design, APIs, event-driven systems, messaging, data synchronization, and user-facing experiences.
• Own technical work from initial discovery and solution design through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.
• Quickly understand existing codebases and architectures while identifying opportunities to improve maintainability, performance, reliability, scalability, and overall engineering quality.
• Collaborate with client and internal engineering teams through pair programming, mob programming, code reviews, and other collaborative development practices.
• Establish and improve engineering practices around Test-Driven Development, automated testing, source control, CI/CD, code review, and safe production delivery.
• Contribute to cloud-native development practices, including containerization, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and Software-Defined Everything approaches.
• Use modern source control and review workflows, including Git, pull requests, and platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
• Communicate technical decisions, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Adapt quickly to new technologies, frameworks, codebases, and client environments while maintaining high engineering standards.
• Share knowledge with client teams and help establish practices that enable them to independently maintain and evolve the solutions delivered.
• Take ownership of technical decisions and confidently recommend solutions that balance client needs, technical constraints, long-term maintainability, and business value.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience with strong expertise in .NET and C#, combined with the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and technical environments.
• Strong proficiency with Angular, including components, services, modules, and application architecture.
• Full-stack development experience with APIs, event-driven architectures, and user-facing applications.
• Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development and automated testing practices, with a commitment to delivering reliable, production-ready software.
• Familiarity with cloud-native development, containerization, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and modern deployment practices.
• Understanding of CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and safe software delivery into production environments.
• Proficiency with Git and modern source code management and review processes, including pull requests and platforms such as GitHub, GitLab, or Atlassian Bitbucket.
• Experience with Software-Defined Everything practices in public cloud environments, including Infrastructure as Code and Environment as Code.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar coding environments, technologies, frameworks, architectures, and client-specific systems.
• Strong technical judgment and the ability to communicate tradeoffs and recommend solutions based on technical, business, and client requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong collaborative mindset with experience contributing to knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and accountable engineering teams.
• Experience with WPF is preferred, with strong XAML or comparable UI framework knowledge considered valuable.
• Familiarity with MVVM is preferred; experience with MVC or comparable architectural patterns is also beneficial.
• Knowledge of NetMQ or similar messaging and data synchronization frameworks is a plus.
• Previous experience in consulting or professional services environments is preferred.
• Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
