Shipping CoordinatorWork Schedule: M - F 6:00 to 4:30, availability on Sat from 5 to 8 hours depending on volume. Start Date: As soon as possible once fully cleared. Length of assignment: 6 months with potential for extension and/or conversion.Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to support our aerospace fittings manufacturing operation. This is a high-level, fast-paced role responsible for coordinating shipping activities, managing documentation workflows, and ensuring accurate and compliant delivery of products. This position requires strong computer skills, the ability to manage a high volume of transactions, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The Shipping Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining workflow continuity, investigating shipment issues, and supporting both domestic and international shipping processes.Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:Coordinate daily outbound shipments to meet customer delivery schedules and internal production timelinesSchedule carrier pickups, shipping appointments, and transportation logisticsManage and prioritize shipment workflow, including handoffs between shifts or team membersPrepare and review shipping documentation, including: Bills of lading (BOL) Packing slips and certifications Export and customs documentationEnsure accuracy of shipment details such as part numbers, quantities, and labeling requirementsSupport international shipping and export processes, ensuring compliance with applicable regulationsPerform investigative work to resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or documentation issuesAccurately process and track shipments using internal systems and toolsUtilize Excel for tracking, filtering, and organizing shipment data and workflow queuesCoordinate intercompany transfers and internal material movementsCommunicate shipment status, priorities, and risks to cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Customer Service, Materials)Maintain complete, organized, and audit-ready shipping recordsSupport continuous workflow in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentFollow all company policies, safety regulations, and aerospace industry standardsWork Environment & Physical Requirements:Fast-paced, high-volume shipping and documentation environmentPrimarily computer-based with regular coordination on the production floorAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesCombination of desk and floor activity as needed to support operationsQualifications & Requirements:High school diploma or GED required35+ years of shipping, logistics, or distribution experience in a manufacturing or high-volume environmentStrong experience with shipping documentation, scheduling, and coordinationWorking knowledge of export shipping and customs documentationIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (sorting, filtering, tracking data)Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of paperwork and transactions efficientlyExcellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate effectively and coordinate across multiple departmentsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgencyPreferred Qualifications:Experience in aerospace manufacturing, distribution centers, or large-scale logistics operations strongly preferredBackground in high-volume, fast-paced environments (e.g., aerospace, DCs, big-box retail distribution)Familiarity with compliance standards such as ITAR, EAR, or similar export regulationsExperience handling intercompany transfers and international shipmentsEducation & Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required3+ years of relevant logistics, shipping coordination, or manufacturing experience requiredNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
