Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and managing the front desk operations of our clinic. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with medical scheduling systems is highly desirable.

Duties

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the clinic.
• Manage medical scheduling for appointments, including coordinating with healthcare providers and patients.
• Handle patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected accurately.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality at all times.
• Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing inquiries or directing them to appropriate staff members.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence related to patient services.
• Process insurance information and verify eligibility as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure smooth operations within the clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical office or dental clinic is preferred.
• Proficiency in medical scheduling systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with healthcare terminology and practices is a plus.
