Per Diem Staff Pharmacist in Galion, OH

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy in Galion, OH is seeking a per diem pharmacist to cover vacation absences during specified dates. This role requires working a schedule of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with no lunch break as the pharmacy remains open continuously throughout the day.

Location: Galion, OH
Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pharmacy operating hours: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Vacation coverage dates:

August 10 to August 14
September 14 to September 18
November 25

Responsibilities:

Process and verify over 200 prescriptions daily using PioneerRx software
Answer phone calls professionally and efficiently
Data entry and verification of prescription information
Product verification and quality control
Check in and sign for controlled and narcotic drug deliveries
Collaborate with a team of three full-time pharmacy technicians
Note: Immunizations are not required in this role

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Must hold a current, clear, and active Ohio pharmacist license
Minimum of 1 year recent retail pharmacy experience
Proficient with pharmacy software systems, preferably PioneerRx
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high volume
