Job Location: 10 EX - Clinton, NC 28328 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $14.00 - $14.50 Hourly Job Shift: Any Job Category: Retail Responsibilities Perform all duties of a Customer Service Representative (CSR) as outlined in the Operations Policy and Procedures Manual, including operating POS equipment, credit/debit card processing, lottery, Lotto, ATM, fuel dispensers, and other store equipment. Handle paperwork transactions and maintain accurate records. Act as an ambassador for SBOC/Han‑Dee Hugo’s, supporting the Company’s values and mission. Address customer complaints professionally and promptly. Promote teamwork and foster a positive customer experience in the store. Provide emergency response, including activating emergency controls, extinguishing fires, and handling spills. Lead and assist in recruiting, training, and supervising CSR candidates. Assist the Manager with store paperwork, scheduling, cash and inventory controls, making bank deposits, and verifying proper cash levels in the register, ATM, and safe. Assist with merchandising, stocking, and maintaining a clean, ready-for-inspection store environment inside and outside, including restrooms. Ensure staff up‑selling to optimize in‑store sales and follow company policies on pricing and competition. Participate in all training meetings scheduled by the Company. Ensure surveillance cameras are operational at the end of each shift and report issues to the Manager. Maintain safety and security of employees during all shifts. Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Proven success as a CSR at SBOC/Han‑Dee Hugo’s or similar retail environment. Ability to read, interpret documents, and follow department manuals. Strong communication skills for one‑on‑one and small group interactions. Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentage and discount calculations. Understanding of cash and inventory control procedures and basic accounting functions. Computer proficiency, including use of POS systems. Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods. Good vision and eye‑hand coordination; able to distinguish letters and symbols. Capacity to respond to emergency procedures promptly and effectively. Physical Demands Requires regular standing, walking and prolonged periods of work; ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs occasionally, and up to 50 lbs occasionally; ability to use hands and arms for reaching and handling tools. Must be able to perform emergency procedures including fire extinguishment and use of emergency shut‑offs. Working Conditions Work performed in a convenience store/gas station, car wash and restaurant environment. Employee may be exposed to outside weather, wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, cold, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is moderate. Some shifts may include days, nights, holidays, weekends, and “on call” status. Other Requirements Wear prescribed uniform with visible name tag at all times and ensure compliant CSR attire. Participate in vendor control policies and maintain compliance with all store policies. Do not discuss pricing strategies with competitors or employees outside the Company.
