Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Unit

Role Overview: This position involves planning, delivering, documenting, and evaluating nursing care for correctional health patients, ensuring care aligns with provider orders and recognized standards. Key Responsibilities: Assessing and monitoring patient conditions and reporting findings Directing nursing personnel activities Maintaining accurate, timely documentation of care, treatment, and patient responses Upholding organizational mission, vision, values, and customer service standards Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current Ohio RN licensure American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practice, medical sciences, and aseptic techniques Proficiency with nursing instruments, equipment, and supplies Ability to foster positive relationships with staff and medical teams High physical coordination and dexterity Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing Correctional healthcare experience Certification as a Certified Corrections Nurse (CCN) or Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) Physical & Work Environment: Ability to sit, stand, bend, and walk as needed, with capacity to lift and push heavy weights with assistance.
