Sr. Software Engineer

Job Title Senior Software Engineer (digital/eCommerce) – Retail Services & Systems, Inc dba Total Wine & More Location and Work Arrangement Boca Raton, FL. Telecommute up to 1 day/week. Limited travel: up to 60 days/year, 5 days per trip. Responsibilities Build reusable software components and performant services. Design, create, and support integrations across projects. Collaborate with product owners, managers, stakeholders, and developers – including architecture and backend teams – to translate ideas into actionable technical requirements. Develop and maintain services using messaging, data storage, and cloud technologies. Develop and update shared component libraries for rapid iteration. Write code that is performant, maintainable, and testable. Mentor and coach mid‑level and junior developers. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, technology, business, or a related field with at least 4 years of experience in established production environments; or Master’s degree with at least 2 years of experience. Minimum 2 years’ experience in solution development using Python. Experience with real‑time stream processing and design patterns. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Proficiency in topic/consumer‑based architecture utilizing Kafka or RabbitMQ. Knowledge of cloud‑based architecture and maintenance in GCP, Azure, or AWS. Experience with zero‑downtime deployments, continuous integration and continuous delivery. Ready to undergo background checks, including drug screening. Compensation Annual salary range: $172,300.00 – $241,200.00.
