- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics employing established assessment tools and observational techniques.
- Create individualized treatment plans focused on immediate goals and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions aimed at enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice control, and swallowing capabilities.
- Engage in teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and caregivers to develop unified treatment approaches.
- Educate patients and their families to promote progress outside therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care for patients.
- Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organization protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing education and professional collaboration.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification necessary within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for a wide age range, along with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to customize therapy techniques to accommodate varying cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
