Description

• Assess and evaluate patients from pediatric to geriatric demographics using both standardized tests and hands-on observational techniques.
• Create tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals along with long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focused on enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care approaches.
• Facilitate educational endeavors for patients and their families to ensure progression beyond the confines of therapy.
• Engage in periodic inpatient assessments and interventions, thereby maintaining a seamless continuum of care throughout every step of the treatment journey.
• Keep thorough and timely records aligned with all applicable state and federal guidelines, along with organizational standards.
• Pursue ongoing education and collaborate with peers to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who are not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Must hold state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Having a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days after hiring.
