Cnc Lathe Operator
Lamjen, Inc currently has 1st and 2nd shift openings for a CNC Lathe Operator
Responsibilities:
- Create a set up using various chuck jaws, hardware and fixturing
- Proficiently use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and gauges to ensure conformance of specified tolerances
- Proficient at performing in-process inspections at a machine and adjusting various offsets to ensure conformance of workpieces as required
- Position and secure workpieces on machines using measuring instruments, holding devices, hand tools, and cranes
- Study blueprints, lay outs, sketches, and work orders to determine tolerances and work procedures
- Proficient knowledge in general machining practices
- Ability to recognize tooling types and procedures for machining close tolerances
Requirements:
- Proficient in reading and understanding documents, blueprints, basic GD&T and G-Code commands
- Knowledge of addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals and basic trigonometry
- Proficient knowledge of CNC controls and G-Code programming
- Ability to adjust/set tool lengths, set work offsets, and make adjustments within a program
- Minimum of 5 years experience in CNC operation/schooling
- Crane experience
