About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to take ownership of the enterprise security strategy and risk program, with a particular focus on the security and governance of AI use within the engineering organization. The CISO will be responsible for defining and executing the company's security strategy in alignment with business objectives and compliance obligations. This includes owning security governance, policies, and risk management practices, as well as embedding security-by-design principles across all technical processes. The role also involves setting and enforcing security policies for access control, data protection, and secure development, and ensuring compliance with data privacy and residency requirements across multiple regions. Applicants for the CISO position at the company should have 8-10 years' of experience in security leadership, with a strong background in risk assessment and security of cloud environments. Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure is essential, as is a deep understanding of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, SOC 2, or ISO 27001. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in incident response, and the ability to lead and develop a security team. Experience in a regulated industry, particularly with GxP, FDA, or similar quality/regulatory standards, is highly desirable. The CISO will also be expected to have strong communication skills, the ability to work cross-functionally, and a proactive approach to security and risk management.
