Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Assistant for a temporary assignment lasting 8-10 weeks. This role is essential to support our team during an increase in lab specimens, ensuring smooth laboratory operations and accurate data management.
Responsibilities

• Perform data entry and specimen accessioning.
• Process stool specimens and conduct stool concentration procedures.
• Prepare and stain slides for analysis.
• Stock reagents and supplies to maintain laboratory efficiency.
• Review and enter test results accurately.
• Assist with additional laboratory duties to maintain workflow and support technical staff.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's of science degree
• Comfortable working with stool samples and performing specimen preparation and accessioning.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to handle a high-volume workload and prioritize urgent tasks.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.

Work Environment
The work schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, from 4 am to 12:30 pm. The role offers an opportunity to gain experience in a large reference laboratory, providing a valuable stepping stone for future career advancement.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
