Risk Management Analyst

Sr Analyst, Risk ManagementThe Operational Risk and Control Assurance (ORCA) team is responsible for strengthening TransUnion's risk management framework by ensuring key business processes have effective controls in place to identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate operational risks. Reporting to the Operational Risk Manager within the Risk Assurance organization, this team partners across the business to support risk assessments, control testing, incident reviews, and continuous improvement of the enterprise risk management program. This role reports to Director of Risk Management.This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview and Core ResponsibilitiesExecute activities within the Operational Risk and Control Assurance (ORCA) Program, supporting TransUnion's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.Develop and maintain control testing methodologies, testing scripts, and testing protocols for key operational controls.Perform control testing activities, including review of supporting evidence to assess control design and operating effectiveness.Identify control gaps, weaknesses, or improvement opportunities and partner with stakeholders to strengthen risk mitigation efforts.Support investigations following operational incidents or risk events and assist in designing enhanced controls where necessary.Analyze risk, control, and testing results and present findings to business stakeholders and risk leadership.Assess compliance with risk management policies, standards, and control requirements across business processes.Document testing results, observations, recommendations, and remediation activities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive a strong risk and control culture throughout the organization.Required Knowledge and ExperiencesBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Compliance, or a related discipline.3-5 years of experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, control testing, compliance, internal audit, or control assurance activities.Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks, operational risk concepts, and internal control principles.Experience conducting or supporting risk assessments, control testing, risk monitoring, or audit activities.Experience working within a regulated industry such as financial services, banking, insurance, fintech, or other compliance-driven environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate control effectiveness and recommend practical improvements.Ability to communicate risk and control findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Required Technical SkillsMicrosoft Excel for data analysis, control testing documentation, and reporting.Microsoft PowerPoint for preparing risk presentations and executive reporting materials.Microsoft Word for documenting testing results, control assessments, and risk procedures.Microsoft SharePoint for document management, collaboration, and control evidence storage.Ability to analyze, organize, and present risk-related data effectively.We're also looking for the preferred skills below.
