Commercial Litigation Associate / Senior Associate An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Litigation Associate or Senior Associate to join the Washington, DC office of a highly regarded international law firm recognised for its sophisticated litigation practice and collaborative culture. The ideal candidate will be licensed in both DC and VA. This position offers the chance to work on high-stakes, complex disputes for a diverse client base, alongside experienced litigators in a supportive and team-oriented environment. The successful candidate will gain significant responsibility, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to play a key role on matters from inception through trial and appeal. The Role Handle a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters in federal and state courts. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other litigation documents. Conduct legal research and develop case strategy. Manage discovery, including document review, depositions, and expert coordination. Work closely with partners and clients on high-profile disputes. Contribute to business development and client relationship initiatives. The Ideal Candidate J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted (or eligible for admission) to the DC Bar. 3-7 years' experience in commercial litigation gained at a respected law firm. Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills. Strong academic credentials and keen attention to detail. A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
