Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Must have active nursing license Certifications: N/A Must-Have: Surgical/procedural experience preferred, not required Description: This position is in the Operating Room department. The unit has 343 beds and operates with a patient ratio of 1:1. Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and tech availability. Types of equipment include surgical tools and technology. Documentation system used is Meditech. Schedule requirements include set schedules. Floating policy states that staff do not float except related to COVID, which rarely occurs. Patient experience requirements are not applicable. This facility is a designated trauma center equipped to treat life-threatening injuries 24/7. Certifications specific to the facility include numerous affirmations from recognized accrediting bodies. Procedures performed on this unit include a variety of surgeries such as abdominal, complex hernia, breast, cardiovascular, colon/rectal, dental, ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecological, joint replacement, maternal-fetal, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, oral/maxillofacial, orthopedic/sports medicine/robotics, pediatrics, plastic and reconstructive, robotics, spine, thoracic, trauma, urological, and vascular. Dress code includes hospital-laundered scrubs provided by the department. The unit promotes a friendly and team-based culture. There are versatile team options available for scheduling.
