Location: Grand Rapids (onsite)
Salary: 60,000-75,000 Buyer Position Summary
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join their team in Grand Rapids. This role is responsible for managing product purchasing, maintaining inventory levels, and developing strong vendor partnerships to support business operations and customer needs.


The ideal candidate will have purchasing or procurement experience, strong ERP/system skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities for Buyer

• Purchase products and materials to support company operations
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Resolve supplier, inventory, and purchasing discrepancies
• Analyze purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain accurate purchasing records within ERP and inventory systems
• Collaborate with sales, operations, and warehouse teams to meet customer demands

• 3+ years of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain experience
• Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management software
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and vendor management abilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Industrial, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain industry experience strongly preferred
