Security Officer-2

Job Summary The Security Officer reports to the Medical Center Security Manager. Under general supervision, the Security Officer monitors and provides protection and security for facilities, premises, employees, patients, and visitors. The role requires tactful communication with the public, shift work, and potential overtime. Responsibilities Monitors facility activities, conducts routine patrols, communicates with staff and visitors, and follows prescribed security standards set by the Manager of Hospital Security. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. At least one year of relevant experience (Security, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, Emergency Medical Service, Behavioral Health, Counselor, Education, or Military). Additional Requirements Must obtain and maintain International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) certification within the first year of employment. Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License. A bachelor's degree or other relevant certifications may substitute for required work experience.
