About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day, 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years Operating Room experience required License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, CO or Compact RN License Must-Have: - Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center experience required - Epic experience required - No first-time travelers accepted Description: The position requires a minimum of three years of Operating Room experience. Candidates must have experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center. Epic software experience is mandatory. No first-time travelers will be accepted for this role. Travelers may be required to float to other Operating Rooms as needed. Weekend coverage will be required based on unit needs. On-call requirements will be approximately three shifts per eight-week schedule period. The unit consists of 41 Operating Rooms and is a Level 1 Trauma Center. The candidate should be willing to report for occasional night shifts if required. Types of cases managed will include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics. The candidate will need to circulate for various procedures including but not limited to craniotomy and spine surgeries. Current BLS certification is required. Additional skills in abdominal and vaginal hysterectomy, orthopedic surgeries, and trauma procedures are beneficial. The role necessitates effective teamwork with interdisciplinary supports available. There is a requirement for candidates to complete all health system-specific modules first week of the assignment. This position demands flexibility and readiness to adapt based on unit needs. Travel experience is required for this role. Patient ratio experience will be taken into account.
