Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Shift - start times at 11 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, or 4 pm Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: EPIC experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor required - Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan prescribing interventions to achieve outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients. Requires all associates to receive all necessary vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable.
