About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an acute care facility preferred License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required - Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or equivalent required - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification required Description: The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards. You will supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Collaboration with other disciplines is essential while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collect relevant data pertaining to patient health or situations. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implement the care plan, coordinate delivery, and promote health and safety. Evaluate progress toward achieving outcomes. Identify expected outcomes for patients or patient situations. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure a safe and caring environment. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly share health information with patients and their families. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned. It is required that all associates receive all mandatory vaccinations as a condition of employment.
