Maintenance Manager

Location City: Kearny State: New Jersey Country: United States Requisition Number: 45125 Job Summary Bunge has an exciting opportunity available for a Maintenance Manager. In this role you will be part of a global team working on challenging, meaningful projects impacting core business activities and leading the reliability function within the plant. Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and direction to the reliability function. Ensure the safe, effective, and efficient use of manpower, materials, parts, and other resources. Develop, implement, and manage systems, structure, and processes to sustain reliability goals. Create a proactive culture that values reliability, efficiency, and lifecycle asset management. Facilitate excellent environmental, health, and safety performance, maintaining a food safety culture and complying with customer and regulatory requirements. Develop and control the maintenance budget to optimize spending for capacity and asset reliability. Ensure Bunge standard reliability and maintenance work processes are followed. Manage the reliability workforce, developing succession plans, skill assessments, and training. Manage the spare parts warehouse to maintain critical spares, minimize inventory, and automate material requisition functions. Benchmark current performance with internal and external sources to identify improvement opportunities. Provide input on change‑management studies and sign off on identified changes, enforcing Management of Change processes. Execute the reliability strategy and foster a culture that eliminates equipment failures through root-cause analysis. Implement organizational structures, systems, tools, and technologies that promote a proactive maintenance approach. Integrate standard corporate work‑order planning, scheduling, and materials kitting. Recommend and implement strategies to improve reliability of manufacturing processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a science/technology discipline, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of experience in reliability and maintenance positions. Minimum Level 1 certification in oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasonic, or thermography (preferred). Minimum 5 years experience in Failure Modes & Effects Analysis. Prior experience with standard corporate maintenance workflow processes. Demonstrated ability to lead Root‑Cause Failure Analysis reviews. Strong interpersonal tact when dealing with plant staff and maintenance personnel. Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills. Strong administrative and analytical skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency. Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or comparable system; preferably SAP Plant Maintenance and Materials Management modules.
