Senior Sous Chef, Banquets – Waldorf Astoria Washington DC (Job Number: HOT0CHCK) Work Locations: Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, 1100 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, 20004 The Waldorf Astoria Washington DC, a historic landmark on Pennsylvania Avenue, houses 263 rooms, 38,000 square feet of event space, and two restaurants with three bars. The hotel hosts consequential events, groundbreaking meetings, and memorable experiences. What will I be doing? Assist the Executive Chef with overseeing all culinary operations, including meal preparation, food quality and presentation, safety and sanitation compliance, team productivity, and profitability. Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events in partnership with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage. Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards. Monitor and develop team member performance by supervising, counseling, evaluating, training, scheduling, assigning work, and recognizing achievements. What are we looking for?
