While the primary work hours are Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, there may be occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to older adults, focusing on their cognitive, emotional, and social needs.

• Develop personalized treatment plans involving evidence-based interventions, counseling strategies, and supportive therapies.

• Provide individual and family therapy sessions, utilizing modalities suited for geriatric populations, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and supportive psychotherapy.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, ensuring cohesive and holistic treatment strategies that align with each patient’s care plan.

• Offer crisis intervention services during urgent mental health situations, providing immediate support and strategic referrals when necessary.

• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment outcomes, and local community resources that can assist with ongoing care.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations, using electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient progress.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case discussions, and continuous education initiatives to remain informed about advancements in geriatric psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves elderly individuals, many of whom experience complex mental health challenges that require specialized knowledge and sensitivity. You will engage with patients dealing with various conditions such as depression, anxiety, dementia, and adjustment disorders, all while focusing on enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.
\n
• A minimum of two years of direct post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, particularly working with older adults.

• Strong knowledge of geriatric mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and appropriate therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing an ability to foster trust and rapport with elderly patients and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other technological tools relevant to telehealth.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges between USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
