Job Title: RN - MedSurg/Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months of MedSurg/Tele experience required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Cardiac rhythm interpretation skills - Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (e.g., Cardizem, Amiodarone) - General medical/surgical skillset - EPIC experience required Description: We are seeking an RN specializing in MedSurg/Telemetry. The facility has 337 licensed beds, with a focus on stroke and acute conditions. The average patient census is 32, with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 during regular staffing (Ratios may increase during surge staffing). The patient population includes those with strokes, seizures, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, falls, cellulitis, and non-healing wounds. Support staff includes a charge nurse, clinical supervisor, CNAs, and a dedicated pharmacist. Phlebotomy and respiratory therapy services are available 24/7. Float requirements apply within the region and scope of practice. Every staff member is responsible for monitoring patients and reading/posting necessary information.
