What you'll do:

As the newest member of our team, you'll work 30 to 40 hours weekly and perform comprehensive eye examinations, recommend eyewear, and determine contact lens prescriptionsthe practice is open Monday through Saturday. You'll enjoy caring for patients in a modernized practice with access to behind-the-scenes functional technology, including Optomap (retinal scanning), OCT (retinal scanning), FDT (visual field testing), Pentacam (advanced scanning of corneal topography), EnChroma (color vision technology), and auto-refractorsplus, highly-trained staff to support you throughout examinations.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

For roles that are remote (i.e., Work From Home (WFM)) or hybrid (i.e., partial onsite at a VSP location and WFM), must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including maintaining camera presence during meetings to support effective communication and team alignment
