Vice President We are currently seeking a Vice President who will play a critical role in leading client relationships, managing account teams, and contributing to the continued growth of the firm. This position requires an experienced communications professional who can provide strategic counsel, anticipate client needs, lead teams, and translate complex challenges into effective communications strategies. The Vice President will also support business development, mentor colleagues, and contribute to firmwide initiatives. As the Vice President, you will: Lead the day-to-day management of client accounts, ensuring teams are organized,accountable, and delivering high-quality work on time. Anticipate client needs and emerging developments, proactively identifying opportunities, challenges, and recommended approaches. Provide strategic counsel to clients and build strong, trusted client relationships. Project-manage accounts of varying sizes, including developing work plans, managing deliverables, and monitoring account budgets. Oversee quality control of client materials, research, and other deliverables. Lead media and stakeholder relations efforts and oversee teams in the implementation of communications strategies. Stay informed about relevant social, political, economic, and industry developments that may affect clients. Lead and guide account teams, including peers and junior staff, while effectively managing up. Demonstrate superior writing, editing, research, and presentation skills across client engagements. Lead or play a significant role in the development of new business presentations, proposals, and marketing materials. Build and maintain relationships with media, industry contacts, and referral sources. Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and actively contribute to the success and growth of the firm. If you have the following, we want to hear from you: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in public affairs, public relations, communications, or a related field. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Demonstrated ability to independently counsel clients and manage complex client relationships and account teams. Proven experience in internal communications, employee engagement, and change management communications. Experience translating research findings and complex information into actionable communications strategies. Experience developing trainings, communications tools, or change management communications programs. Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, teams, deadlines, and budgets. In-depth knowledge of the public affairs industry, including key players, trends, and relevant regulatory environments. Strong negotiation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills. The ability to develop and execute strategic plans that advance client and business objectives. A demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities, expand existing client relationships, and contribute to revenue growth. An entrepreneurial mindset and the confidence, judgment, and professionalism necessary to manage and deliver on client expectations.
