About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Allied Level 2 CT Tech Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 9 Months Shift: Weekday Overnights Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Two (2) Years' Experience Level 1 Trauma Center Experience License: NYS CT Tech License (must obtain prior to starting position) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology. Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Description: Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, strictly adhering to department policy and procedures for patient safety. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging. Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable. Insert IVs when necessary for the test. Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling techniques. Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within the electronic health record system. Assure images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
