Business Systems Analyst

DescriptionWe are seeking a Sr Business Analyst with a technical background to support software development IT Projects using a mix of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid Methodologies.RequirementsPerform all tasks related to business analysis, including problem/opportunity identification, elicitation of requirements, and management of stakeholders to meet business and project objectives.Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team.Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary.Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.Facilitate collaboration and knowledge transfer between stakeholders and the development teamWork with other BSAs, Data Analysts, Business Architect, Development, and Data Governance teams to ensure the needs of these partners are incorporated into project requirements.Develop user acceptance tests and facilitate their execution and business validation discussions and meetings.QualificationsExceptional interpersonal skills for leading, collaborating, and building strong team relationships with diverse teams on large projectsExtensive experience leading business and IT resources through the discovery and documentation of business and technical requirementsAbility to lead others to implement new approaches, systems, structures, and methodsStrong experience in developing, executing, and managing cloud hosted SaaS implementation projects.Experience with automated requirements/development management toolsAbility to analyze and document system processes.Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to simplify and communicate complex issues and technical concepts to multiple audiences.Knowledge of both Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management practices and when to apply each according to organizational and project needsAbility to build & provide meaningful project health information and insights to business & IT Leadership.Ability accurately and effectively represent the project team in multipleforums and to all levels of leadership.Ability to exercise and act on independent judgmentAbility to quickly learn and adaptJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Richmond, VA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $59.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
