Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: BLS ACLS PALS TNCC Description: This position involves working in an emergency department setting. The unit has 25 beds with patient ratios of 4:1, which may increase to 5:1 during surges. When staffing allows, there is a unit secretary and patient care technicians available. Type of equipment used includes GE monitors, Baxter pumps, and Zoll travel monitors. Documentation is performed using MediTech Expanse. Staffing requirements include working 36 hours per week with every other weekend scheduled as required. Strong communication skills and the ability to make personal connections with patients are essential. Advanced skills in emergency department competencies are necessary. Procedures performed in the unit include emergency department competencies. The required uniform is navy blue scrubs. Successful candidates should be aware of the opportunity to work with new equipment and technology. Consider the tenure and experience of staff as an attractive aspect of this position.
