Legal Assistant Bankruptcy
Westerman Ball Ederer Miller Zucker & Sharfstein, LLP
We are seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in a busy law firm environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and familiar with bankruptcy procedures and filings.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and related documents
- E-filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court (CM/ECF)
- Managing deadlines and court calendars
- Communicating with clients, trustees, and courts
- Maintaining electronic and physical case files
- Assisting attorneys with document and case preparation
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a bankruptcy legal assistant preferred
- Proficiency with CM/ECF and bankruptcy software
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
Position Details:
- Full-time in office
- Location: Uniondale Office
