Patient Account RepresentativeIt is an exhilarating time of growth for USPh, and we are hiring an Onsite Patient Account Representative with strong technical ability and business acumen to join our expanding Houston team. Your role will be critical in our billing and claims department, and you will be asked to facilitate procedural requirements, including data elements, insurance verification, authorization for services, and collections for all patient portions, including prior balances. This position is onsite at 1300 W Sam Houston Pkwy S, Suite 300, Houston, TX.Responsibilities:Work closely with patients to resolve billing and payment issues.Research and resolve discrepancies in patient accounts.Process payments and refunds.Review and update patient insurance information.Communicate with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and verify coverage.Follow up on unpaid claims and denials.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient account information.Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and ensure timely reimbursement.Maintain knowledge of current insurance regulations and coding requirements.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred1-2 years of experience in medical billing and collectionsKnowledge of medical billing and coding, insurance regulations, and healthcare reimbursement policiesStrong attention to detail and ability to work independentlyExcellent communication and customer service skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, Waystar, Japari and other computer programsAdditional Information:Benefits:Competitive compensationFront Office Monthly Incentive based on meeting metricsExcellent benefits package including 401k, health, dental, and generous paid time offMultiple opportunities for professional development, specialization, and leadershipEmployee discount plansEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Investment from a company that wants you to succeed and thrive.
