Disaster Restoration Tech: Water & Fire Mitigation Pro

ServiceMaster Restore® – Water, Fire & Disaster Recovery At ServiceMaster Restore , we respond when homes and businesses face water, fire, smoke, and storm damage. Our mission is simple: restore property — and peace of mind. We are hiring a skilled and motivated Restoration Technician to perform mitigation and restoration services for residential and commercial properties. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who works well under pressure, values craftsmanship, and understands the importance of customer care during stressful loss situations.
Key Responsibilities

- Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation
- Set up, monitor, and remove restoration equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers)
- Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials
- Clean, sanitize, and restore structural materials and contents
- Take moisture readings using meters and thermal imaging tools
- Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software
- Maintain safe, organized, and professional job sites
- Communicate clearly with customers, adjusters, and team members
- Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements, and company procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response services
- Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, general labor, or skilled trades preferred
- Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation, or fire damage cleanup a plus
- IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varied environments
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and emergency calls
