SUMMARY

Provides support in developing, interpreting, and implementing accounting and financial practices, procedures, and policies in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), using established procedures by performing the following duties.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists in the day-to-day maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.
• Compiles, classifies, consolidates, examines and analyzes accounting records; prepares related financial statements for the enterprise following detailed instructions.
• Applies accounting skills to maintain, communicate and disclose information in accordance with corporate standards, GAAP and department objectives.
• Performs reconciliations of accounting and financial records and systems.
• Works with and provides assistance to centralized and decentralized business units, business partners and customers with financial analyses of results, departmental budgets, accounting related research projects, program analysis and project support following detailed instructions.
• Support other accounting projects and processes within the department and assist as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; up to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong computer and related system skills.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of accounting practices and principles.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates competence in the following leadership skills: Personal Integrity, Results Orientation, Customer Orientation, Assessment/Evaluation, and Communication

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
