Occupational Therapist (OT)Are you a compassionate, resident-centered Occupational Therapist who enjoys helping older adults improve function, safety, and independence?Above All Talent Solutions is conducting a search for a full-time Occupational Therapist to join a collaborative rehabilitation team serving adult and geriatric residents in a skilled nursing, long-term care, and post-acute rehabilitation setting.In this role, you will evaluate residents, develop individualized occupational therapy plans of care, and provide evidence-based interventions that support independence, safety, and quality of life. You will help residents improve or maintain the functional skills needed for activities of daily living, mobility, meaningful routines, and safe participation in daily life.You will collaborate closely with Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, nursing, providers, residents, families, and the broader interdisciplinary care team to support positive clinical outcomes and person-centered care.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate adult and geriatric residents with physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and functional limitations in a skilled nursing, long-term care, and post-acute rehabilitation setting.Develop, implement, update, and oversee individualized, goal-driven occupational therapy plans of care in accordance with facility policy, payer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions, including ADL training, therapeutic activities, functional mobility support, positioning, adaptive-equipment training, environmental modification, energy-conservation strategies, and safety education.Supervise, direct, and collaborate with Occupational Therapy Assistants and other assigned therapy support personnel in accordance with applicable law, facility policy, and payer requirements.Complete timely, accurate evaluations, daily treatment documentation, progress reports, recertifications, discharge summaries, and required clinical records.Educate residents, families, and staff on adaptive techniques, safety measures, transfer strategies, equipment use, positioning, and approaches that support functional independence.Participate in care conferences, interdisciplinary care planning, quality-improvement initiatives, program-development activities, and departmental meetings to support strong clinical and operational outcomes.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.Current, unrestricted Kansas Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility to obtain Kansas licensure before the start date.New graduates are encouraged to apply; relevant clinical fieldwork or prior experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, post-acute rehabilitation, inpatient rehabilitation, or acute care is a plus.Experience supervising or collaborating with Occupational Therapy Assistants is preferred.Strong evaluation, clinical-reasoning, documentation, organization, communication, and interdisciplinary-collaboration skills.A compassionate, resident-centered, outcomes-focused approach to care.Compensation and BenefitsThe hiring facility offers a competitive hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package for eligible full-time employees.
