Speech-Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellow (CF-SLP) Category: Education Seeking a CF‑SLP for the 2025-26 school year. Summer 2026 sessions also available. Work closely with an experienced school-based SLP of 10 years to practice therapeutic techniques and sharpen your clinical decision‑making skills in the school system. CFs will have the opportunity to work with school‑aged children, ages ranging from preschool through high school, in the location of their choosing. Immediate availability in the Bronx/Manhattan (particularly the Riverdale neighborhood). Per diem pay $50 per hour, to start. Primary Duties & Functions Speech‑Language Pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive‑communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults. General responsibilities for the CF‑SLP at Child & Family Support Services will include: screening, evaluation, and diagnosis of speech‑language disorders; direct therapy with preschool and/or school aged children; advocacy and collaboration with caregivers and other professionals to ensure mastery of speech‑language goals. The goal of therapy is to target Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals for greater communicative success at school, in the community, and at home. CF‑SLPs will fulfill these duties under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Essential Functions Develop and implement treatment plans for direct therapy with students mandated for speech‑language therapy. Complete daily session notes and quarterly progress reports to be submitted to the program supervisor. Participate in annual IEP meetings in person or via phone, as requested. Collaborate with classroom teachers, other related service providers (e.g., Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Counselor), and caregivers for effective carryover of speech‑language goals. Administer speech‑language evaluations on occasion, as requested. Requirements A Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, or Communication Science Disorders (CSD) from a program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech‑Language Pathology (CAA). American Speech‑Language/Hearing Association (ASHA) member and certification a plus! The Initial/Professional Teacher of Students with Speech‑Language Disabilities (TSSLD) Certificate. A valid NPI and Medicaid ID, if applicable. A valid license to practice in New York State, if applicable. Updated malpractice insurance. A favorable result from all state, federal, and agency mandated background check. Ability to work flexible hours. Capable of using public transportation. Ability to communicate proficiently in English, both orally and in writing. Ability to perceive and demonstrate appropriate non‑verbal communication for culture and context. Ability to maintain a general working knowledge of community resources and must be computer literate. Bilingualism a plus! First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Location Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY.
