We are consistently looking for qualified professionals to join us in achieving success. Currently we are searching for a Software Engineer II to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy. This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire hybrid position that reports onsite in Birmingham, AL. Day to Day Responsibilities:Develop and implement new application features using React and Next.js within a modern web application environment.Support the modernization of existing applications by contributing to the transition from legacy frontend technologies to newer frameworks and development practices.Consume and integrate APIs to support application functionality and interactions with other enterprise systems and services.Participate in an Agile development environment with 2-week sprint cycles, including planning, code reviews, testing, demonstrations, and team collaboration.Write and maintain unit tests for application code, troubleshoot development issues, and resolve defects prior to broader QA and integration testing.Collaborate with frontend, backend, cloud, data, product, and other technical teams to design and implement new functionality and resolve dependencies.Participate in technical discussions and communicate development progress, challenges, and solutions with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and fellow developers.Position Requirements:3–8 years of professional software development experience with strong hands-on experience building frontend applications with React.Strong experience with React and Next.js, including the ability to independently develop and implement application features.Strong understanding of JavaScript and/or TypeScript, frontend development practices, and consuming REST APIs.Experience writing and executing unit tests and demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and validate your own code.Strong coding, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and walk through previous development projects.Experience with Node.js and/or NestJS is highly preferred; backend development experience with Java is a plus.Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within an Agile, cross-functional development environment.If your background, skills, and interest match the following; please apply online to ensure your credentials are reviewed by a skilled recruiter immediately.
