Field Trips at Food Literacy Center Cooking School

Field Trips at Food Literacy Center Cooking School Schools from across Sacramento will be visiting Food Literacy Center's cooking classroom and 1‑acre farm this June and July, and we need volunteers to help make these field trips a harvest of fun and learning! Volunteers will help prep ingredients and materials, support small groups during hands‑on cooking and farm activities, and assist with clean‑up—because every great harvest needs a little tidy‑up time. Great for teens ages 16+. Ages 16–17 can volunteer independently. Ages 18+ require one background check. Volunteer spaces are limited to 2 per shift. Responsibilities Prep ingredients and materials for cooking classes. Support small groups during hands‑on cooking and farm activities. Assist with clean‑up after classes and activities. Qualifications Minimum age 16, or 15 with an adult supervisory presence. Ages 18+ must pass a background check.
