Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: State or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: Travel experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Charting system experience required Description: We are a rehabilitation hospital dedicated to recovering and rehabilitating patients who have experienced significant medical events or illnesses. We specialize in providing comprehensive, multidisciplinary care to individuals recovering from strokes, orthopedic surgeries, debilitating conditions, and brain injuries. Our goal is to assist patients in regaining their highest level of independence and functionality. An interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, collaborates to develop individualized care plans. We emphasize family involvement and education to support the patient's recovery journey. The use of advanced rehabilitation technologies and evidence-based practices ensures the highest standard of care. We prioritize patient safety, dignity, and respect in all aspects of care. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:7. The role may involve floating to manage med-surg patients in other units. Daily census is approximately 35 patients, with an average of 29 rooms and 48 beds. We provide various patient diagnoses, including CVA, orthopedics, brain injuries, and patients requiring nursing and rehabilitation services. Special procedures include individualized care plans and the use of fully equipped therapy rooms and gyms. Transitional care planning is provided for a smooth return to the community.
