B2B Customer Service Representative

Our client is a well-established supplier of construction and industrial products, offering an extensive portfolio that includes safety and debris netting, personnel safety nets, scaffold materials, containment systems, shrink wrap, reinforced and poly sheeting, surface protection, tarps, privacy and fence screens, tapes, sound barriers, and jobsite accessories and hardware. They also provide custom printed screens and netting, custom fabrication, and scaffold containment solutions — serving customers across the industrial, marine, and construction markets.

To support continued growth across multiple regions, our client is seeking an experienced B2B Customer Service Representative to join their industrial division. This is a newly created inside support role, strategically designed to serve as a dedicated point of contact for outside sales representatives and existing house accounts across Seattle, San Diego, and Virginia. This position plays a critical role in ensuring seamless order management and an exceptional day-to-day customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated inside support to outside sales representatives and existing house accounts.
• Answer incoming customer phone calls and assist walk-in customers with professionalism and efficiency.
• Process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with both customers and the internal sales team.
• Assist customers in navigating product and order-related inquiries.
• Uphold strong organizational practices and attention to detail throughout the entire order process.
• Collaborate effectively with the broader team, proactively seeking clarification when additional information is needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in B2B customer service, inside sales, or sales support is required.
• Prior experience within industrial distribution, construction supply, or a similar distribution environment is strongly preferred.
• Background with companies operating in a similar space to Fastenal or White Cap is especially attractive.
• Solid understanding of a distribution and resale business model, as distinct from a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP or order-processing systems is highly valued; familiarity with NetSuite or Oracle is a plus as the organization continues its technology transition.
