Position Summary
PacWest seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk Assistant to perform general data entry and basic accounting support duties. This role focuses on accurate transaction entry, recordkeeping, and preparing supporting documentation for the finance team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Enter invoices, payments, timesheets, purchase orders, and other financial or operational data accurately into QuickBooks and internal systems
• Maintain and organize electronic and paper records for accounting tasks
• Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks: account coding, filing, and preparing supporting documentation for AP/AR and payroll teams
• Reconcile simple transaction lists and resolve data-entry discrepancies under supervisor direction
• Prepare routine reports and spreadsheets in Excel to support project tracking and billing
• Assist with month-end tasks as directed and support auditors/finance staff with documentation requests
• Provide professional vendor- and customer-facing communication via phone and email as needed

Qualifications

• 1+ year data entry, administrative, or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas)
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
• Good verbal and written communication; professional phone demeanor
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework or associate degree a plus
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a background check
