Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when on call.About the RoleBaylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waxahachie is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative patient care across a variety of surgical specialties. Responsibilities include assisting anesthesia providers during induction, patient positioning, coordinating and verifying surgical counts with the scrub technologist, leading key patient safety practices such as time-outs and debriefs, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation throughout the surgical experience.Department HighlightsSupport the Operating Room at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Waxahachie, a growing surgical services department. Currently operating 7 OR suites with plans to expand by 3 additional operating rooms in the spring. Collaborative perioperative team environment focused on patient safety, quality outcomes, and professional growth. Exposure to a broad range of specialties including Robotics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Neuro, and Orthopedics. Nurses are valued as key members of the surgical team and play an essential role in the patient experience from pre-op through recovery.Required QualificationsGraduate of an accredited nursing program. Current RN license. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a circulating Operating Room RN. Experience across multiple specialties including Robotics, General Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Neuro, and Orthopedics preferred.Preferred QualificationsAbility to both circulate and scrub surgical cases.
