About the Position

Emergency Medicine Physician (MD or DO) (Locum Tenens)

Location: Texas

Schedule: 12 hour shifts; day and night coverage

Position Overview

Emergency medicine physician coverage in a freestanding emergency department environment. Providers should be comfortable practicing independently, using Epic EMR, and meeting defined onboarding requirements.

Clinical Scope

• Emergency department evaluation and management
• Independent coverage in a lower volume ED setting
• Emergency procedures consistent with site capability

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license
• Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine residency trained (per site requirements)
• Board status must meet site requirements
• DEA registered to Texas address if required for the role
• Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify

• EMR: Epic

Credentialing and Onboarding

• On-site orientation and required modules
• EMR proficiency validation may be required
